The Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) based in Abuja, Nigeria, is recruiting new staff for the following position:
– Head of Administration (Reference ANOCA / HR / HOA / 003/2022)
OBJECTIVE
This recruitment (new position) is part of the restructuring of ANOCA Administration and its professionalisation. The head of administration will work under the direct supervision and responsibility of the Secretary General and will report regularly to the President and / or Executive Committee. He / She will be responsible for the setting up of the Administrative Department and making it functional.
This appointment also aims at strengthening the principle of good governance and separation of powers within the organisation.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Main Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate administration of ANOCA
- Manage all incoming and outgoing communication to/from ANOCA Stakeholders, partners, others
- Ensure implementation of the seamless administrative system to ensure smooth running of the Secretariat
- Liaison and co-ordination of the ANOCA Management Committee activities, meetings
- Oversee and ensure successful planning and implementation of all ANOCA General Assemblies, Executive Committee Sessions, Secretaries General Seminars, and any other relevant meetings as applicable
- Manage the development and implementation of ANOCA annual and quadrennial Business plans
- Produce monthly, quarterly, annual and quadrennial reports
- Manage staff recruitment and onboarding processes with the Secretary General
- Manage and oversee human resources related activities, including staff training and development
- Delegate duties and oversee daily activities of administrative staff
- Institute and manage a clear filing system
- Manage and ensure maintenance of ANOCA Headquarters in Abuja
- Manage and oversee activities of contracted services providers in relation to smooth running of Headquarters
- Manage and update ANOCA Events Calendar
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of the ANOCA website with the media officer and services providers
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Administration/Business Administration/ Management or equivalent
- Postgraduate and professional qualification will be an added advantage
- Experience in management process, administration, training, events management in major organisations
- Proficiency in computer usage and computer software such as MSWord, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other administrative or management software
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Fluency in either English or French is required
- Understanding of the Sports industry, in particular the Olympic movement will be an added advantage
