On the sidelines of the National Ceremony in Tribute to the Cream of Central African Athletes, the ANOCA President was received in audience at the Palais de la Renaissance in Bangui by the President of the Central African Republic, His Excellency Prof Faustin Archange Touadera.
A major highlight of that audience, was the award received from the Association of the National Olympic Committees of Africa by the President of the Republic. He received the Order of Merit in Golden from the supreme governing body of the African Olympic Movement, which was handed by President Mustapha Berraf. This is highest distinction from ANOCA, awarded to high profile dignitaries who, through their actions, have worked for the furtherance of sport and Olympism in Africa.
Since his election in 2016, President Touadera has worked tirelessly and wholeheartedly in fostering the ideals of Olympism in his country. Besides, he has always encouraged countless initiatives aimed at promoting sports practice in the Central African Republic.
