ANOCA was founded on June 28, 1981 in Lomé by Anani Matthia and Juan Antonio Samaranch with the help of Ydnekatchew Tessema.
The ANOCA Executive Committee has 18 members. It is composed by a President, a Secretary General, a Treasurer General, seven Zone Representatives and four Athlete Representatives.
