It is certainly not said often enough, but the President of ANOCA is a former elite sportsman who played basketball for his country. That is how he took part in the 1974 African championships in the Central African Republic. Very skilful, he left his mark to such an extent that the Central African basketball players of that period have not forgotten his twists and strides. They came spontaneously to meet the former Algerian national team player who, since 2018, is the ANOCA president.   The meeting raised nostalgic feelings, as they all remembered the good old days, and especially this very popular tournament in Africa.
