Judo - ACNOA

Judo

Judo is a martial art and combat sport of Japanese origin, founded by Jigoro Kano in 1882. The word “judo” means “the way of suppleness” or “the way of flexibility”, and the sport highlights the emphasis on efficient use of energy and technique rather than brute force. Judo became an Olympic sport in 1964 for men and in 1992 for women.
