Mr President and Dear Brother,
It is with heavy hearts and in utter dismay that we received the sad news of the sudden death of Kelvin Kiptum, world marathon record-holder, following a fatal road accident.
The entire ANOCA Executive Committee joins me in addressing to you and the sports family of Kenya our sincere condolences.
The African Olympic and Sports Movement is deeply saddened by this huge loss, which has plunged the entire continent into mourning. May the brotherly and friendly people of Kenya, as well as the biological family of the illustrious deceased, find solace and stand strong in these painful circumstances.
Mr President and dear brother,
May God Almighty nurture in you the strength of spirit to cope with this unfortunate tragedy!
