Protecting Olympic values is a priority for ANOCA

RESOLUTIONS ADOPTED BY THE EXCOM ON 11 JANUARY 2023:

1/ OLYMPISM AND SPORT ARE THE GLUE OF UNITY WITHIN THE INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC MOVEMENT. THEY MUST IN ALL CASES PROTECT OLYMPIC VALUES AND NEVER GIVE IN TO POLITICAL PRESSURE.

ANOCA RECOMMENDS THAT ALL ATHLETES, WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION, PARTICIPATE IN THE OLYMPIC GAMES, COMPETITIONS AND INTERNATIONAL EVENTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE OLYMPIC CHARTER.

2/ NEUTRALITY OF ATHLETES

THE PARTICIPATION OF ATHLETES FROM RUSSIA AND BELARUS IN ANY COMPETITION MUST BE WITHOUT ANY POLITICAL SIGN/INDICATION (FLAG OR OTHER).

3/ RELATIONS WITH THE IOC.

ANOCA HAS FULL CONFIDENCE IN THE IOC PRESIDENT, DR THOMAS BACH, THE IOC EXECUTIVE BOARD AND THE IOC SESSION TO ADOPT SUITABLE MEASURES TO PROTECT AND SAFEGUARD THE INTERESTS OF ATHLETES, AS WELL AS TO PRESERVE THE AUTONOMY OF THE OLYMPIC MOVEMENT.

IN A NUTSHELL, ANOCA FULLY SUPPORTS THE OLYMPIC SUMMIT PROPOSALS.
