ANOCA President congratulates re-elected President of NOC Sao Tome and Principe

Consequent on a very positive assessment by his colleagues, the President of NOC Sao Tome and Principe, Joao Manuel da Costa Alegre Afonso, was unanimously re-elected to the helm the organisation for another term of four years. As usual, the President of ANOCA did not remain indifferent to such a development: “Mr President and Dear Brother, what a delight to share this moment of joy that consecrates your re-election to the helm of NOC Sao Tome and Principe. The successful organisation, on 19 September 2020, of the Elective General Assembly coupled with the celebration of the 27th anniversary of its recognition by the International Olympic Committee affords us the opportunity to highlight your sterling leadership qualities since your first mandate. For 2021-2024 you will have great challenges to rise to. Mr. President and dear brother, with you at the helm of the new Executive Committee, we are assured of the quality of this other very promising tenure,” wrote Mustapha Berraf. “On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa, I hereby extend to you our sincere congratulations and wish you every success in the discharge of your duties,” he concluded.
